Marco Carrer was born in Treviso, Italy, where he began his ballet studies at an early age. He then trained at Bolshoi ballet academy in Moscow under the direction of Marina Leonova and at the European school of ballet of Jean Yves Esquerre in Amsterdam where he graduated, while also completing his formal education at the Linguistic Lyceum Galileo Galilei of Treviso. Right after he joined the Israel ballet as a demi soloist and later he also danced with the Croatian National ballet in Split. He then started working as an international guest principal dancer and joined balletXtreme in 2025. Marco Carrer was awarded a diploma in “Strategic Management” by the International Businnes Management Institute of Berlin. He also holds a certificate in “Arts and Culture Strategy” offered by the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in “Leadership in Arts Fundraising” offered by the University of Leeds.
