DANILO ZEKA

Born in Tirana,he studied at the Albanian State Academy of Dance. After being a member of the Albanian State Opera Ballet(1995/97), he was invited to attend The Grand Theatre de Genève(Switzerland). He joined The Greek National Opera Ballet in 2001and in 2007 he became a Principal dancer under the ballet direction of Irek Mohametov. He has worked together with  numerous prestigious choreographers, leading the principal roles in their creations such as: Swan Lake (Igor Zelensky), Eugene Onegin and Giselle (Irek Mohametov), Don Quixote (Vladimir Vasilief), La fille mal gardée (Alexander Grand), Canto Generale and Snow Queen( Ray Barra),Carmen (Harris Mandafounis), the leading roles at Nutckracker,Romeo and Juliette,Cinderella, Medea, Boléro, La Voyage, The journey to Eternity (Renato Zanella), John-Zorbas (Lorca Massine), Four last Songs (Juri van Dantzig), Werther- Chopin in Love ( Yannic Boquin), Prince Phillip- Sleeping Beauty (Pontus Linderg),Links and Topia (Αndonis Foniadakis) etc. Also he has participated in numerous international dance festivals and Galas in Italy, France, Switzerland,Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria such as Red Cross Gala(Udine), “Meet the Stars” in Herodes Atticus(Athens), “Day of Culture”(Paris) etc.
